Privacy Policy

Last updated October 21, 2026

This explains what we collect on MusicLynk, how it is used, and your choices. MusicLynk is owned and operated by World Famous Media Group LLC.

1. What this covers

This policy explains what World Famous Media Group LLC ("we", "us"), the company that owns and operates MusicLynk, collects when you use MusicLynk, why, who else handles it, and the choices you have. It applies to listeners, artists, producers and visitors. The other companies that help us run the site are described under "Who else handles information" below; they are not part of World Famous Media Group LLC.

2. What we collect

Account: your email address, display name, username, the account type you chose, and the city, region and country you give us. Your password is handled by our sign-in provider; we do not see it.

Date of birth and gender: we ask for your date of birth when you sign up (required) and, if you choose, your gender, including "self-describe" or "prefer not to say". They are kept separately from your public profile and are never shown on it. We use your date of birth to confirm you are old enough for an account, to stop people under 18 from playing or buying music labeled Explicit, and to keep people under 18 out of the totals artists see. We use date of birth, gender and city only to give artists combined totals about their fans, as described below. You can change them on your Profile.

Photos: a profile photo, if you add one, and photos artists add to their gallery. These are stored with our hosting provider; you choose who can see gallery photos.

Public profile: your username, display name, bio, the links you choose to show, and the month you joined. Artists also have a public artist page with the music and details they publish.

Activity: what you play, buy, pre-order and request, the Circles you join, gifts you send, searches you make on the site, and pages you share.

Payments and Stars: what you bought, the amount, the date, your Star balance and every change to it, and the record that you confirmed the Virtual Stars terms before buying, with the date and the version of the terms. Card details are entered with our payment provider and never reach us.

Artist business records: deals, contacts, invoices, expenses, releases, credits, split sheets, goals and press kits an artist enters. These belong to that artist's account.

Agreements: agreements you send or are sent through Agreements, the documents in them, and the record of each answer: the name you type, the time, a fingerprint (SHA-256) of the exact version, and the IP address and device you used.

CYRUS: the questions asked and the answers given, whether typed or spoken, and whether an answer was marked helpful.

Technical: basic information your browser sends, such as device type, and cookies needed to keep you signed in.

3. Microphone and voice

Voice is optional and off until you turn it on. The site asks your browser for the microphone only when you start a voice session. The screen shows when CYRUS is listening, and you can mute or end the session at any time. The microphone is not used when no session is on. Opening CYRUS does not start one. A session started in the floating CYRUS panel carries on as you move between MusicLynk pages, with its state shown in the corner of the screen, until you mute it, end it, close CYRUS, sign out or leave the site.

Turning speech into text: during a voice session, the short recording of what you say (from when you start speaking until you stop) is sent to our AI provider's transcription service (OpenAI) to turn it into text. We do not store the audio; only the text of your question is kept in your CYRUS conversation. If that service is unavailable, your browser's own speech recognition may be used instead, which in some browsers (including Chrome and Safari) sends the audio to the browser maker (for example Google or Apple) under their privacy terms.

MusicLynk does not record, receive or store your audio. We receive only the text your browser produces. That text is saved as a question in your CYRUS conversation, the same as a typed one.

CYRUS's spoken replies are produced by our voice provider, ElevenLabs (until it is switched on, by our AI provider's speech service, OpenAI): only the text of the reply is sent and it comes back as sound to play on your device. CYRUS speaks in one voice. We do not store the sound. If the voice service fails, the reply stays on screen and the conversation carries on.

We keep a count of voice sessions: how long each lasted and how many questions were asked. This contains no audio and no words.

We also keep daily totals of spoken replies (how many, how many characters and how many failed) to watch the service and its cost. They contain no words, no audio and nothing about who listened.

So CYRUS can answer "explain this", the panel tells CYRUS which kind of page you are on and, for a single deal or release, which one. It does not send the contents of the page. We also count how the panel is used (opened, voice started, and on what kind of page), without the words of any conversation.

We also record when a spoken reply could not be played (for example "no sound"), so we can fix voice problems. This contains no audio and no words.

If we later add a different voice service, we will update this policy before it is switched on.

4. How CYRUS uses information

CYRUS answers an artist from that artist's own account totals and business records. It works from totals: it is not given the identity, messages, payments or listening of an individual fan, and small groups are hidden.

Some answers are produced by fixed rules inside the site. Where an AI model is used, the question and the totals needed to answer it are sent to our AI provider to produce the answer.

CYRUS prepares and recommends. It does not send, sign, pay or publish anything without the account holder approving it on the screen.

5. Why we use it

6. What other people can see

Anyone can see your public profile: username, display name, bio, the links you chose to show, and the month you joined.

If you add your work in music, anyone can also see the roles you chose, your headline, skills and genres, whether you are open to collaborations and who you are looking for, and your confirmed credits (credits you confirmed on published releases). Your location is shown only at the level you choose (country; region and country; or city, region and country), and never for anyone under 18. You can hide yourself from the Network at any time, and people you block or mute do not see you there.

What a listener plays, buys and supports is private. Artists see totals, such as how many people in a city played a song, and do not see who those people are. Artists can also see what share of their Circle Members, buyers or Inner Circle members fall in each age band, gender, country, region and city. Those totals count only adults who gave a date of birth, never show a group of fewer than 10 people, and never name anyone. Fan totals by age, gender and place are not shown publicly. When you send a gift or write in a live chat, your display name and username are shown in that live.

Which songs you heart is private: your Liked Songs are visible only to you. Artists see how many people hearted each song, how many of those are in their Circle or bought their music, as totals, never who. When you download music you bought, we record which album or track and when, to protect against abuse and to help with support; artists see only download totals. We also record the first time you use all the free plays an artist set for a song, open Own song for it, or start checking out, so artists can see how many people move from listening to owning, as totals of 10 or more, never who. These records are in your data download.

Circle Score: in each Circle you join, we turn your activity with that artist (listening, Hearts, shares, Lives, Drop Rooms, Feed, polls, Circle Chat, time as a member, purchases, Stars and Vault unlocks) into a score, level and badges. You see your own score and exactly what it is made of. The artist sees the scores, levels, badges and category points of members of their own Circle, and those of team members they gave Circle access, but never how much money any one person spent. Other people see only your level, badges and place in a Top 8, and only if you have not chosen to hide yourself. Your age, date of birth and spending are never shown in any leaderboard.

AI Artist pages show the name of the person, team or company that runs them, as the artist enters it. If you report a page or track (for example for impersonation, voice cloning or a misleading AI label), the artist is not told who reported it; our staff see your account and what you wrote so they can review it.

If you report a track's Explicit label, the artist is not told who reported it.

Artists who upload music may store rights documents (such as licenses and agreements) with a release. These are private to the artist, their team and our staff handling a review.

Who you have worked with on the site (in Collaboration Rooms, on confirmed credits and split sheets, producer credits, accepted applications and completed agreements) is listed only for you. When a signed-in person views your profile, they may see that you both worked with someone, only if they worked with that person too, and never if that person has hidden themselves from the Network or either of you has blocked the other. CYRUS may show them reasons you might work together, taken from what you chose to show (roles, what you are looking for, genres, confirmed credits) and the people you both worked with. If you ask for an introduction, the person you ask and the person you want to meet see your note.

Agreements are visible only to the people on them and our staff. Everyone on an agreement sees each person's typed name and when they accepted or declined. Your IP address and device are shown only to you and our staff (for example, if there is a dispute).

If you send an artist a booking or business inquiry, the artist receives what you wrote and the contact details you gave.

If you buy merch from an artist's Store, that artist (and team members they gave Store access) sees your name, @username, what you ordered and your shipping name and address, so they can send it. The address is shown to them while the order needs shipping and for 60 days after it ships. They never see your email or card details. Artists can see combined totals of where their merch is shipped by city and state.

If you license a beat, the producer (and team members they gave Beats access) sees your name, @username and the legal name you typed for the agreement, which appears in the agreement itself. They never see your email or card details. Producers see combined totals of plays and saves on their beats, never who played them.

An artist can give team members, such as a manager or label, access to parts of their account. Those people then see what the artist would see in those parts. For example, someone given Preorders can see the shipping name and address on a preorder you placed with that artist, and someone given Deals can see an inquiry you sent. The artist chooses who, and can remove them at any time.

7. Who else handles information

We use other companies to run the site. They handle information for us only to provide their service:

The home page can show ads from other companies, marked "Sponsored". Ads are the same for everyone: they are not chosen using your account or activity. We count how many times each ad was shown and clicked, with no record of who. If you click an ad you go to the advertiser's own site, which has its own privacy terms.

We do not sell your personal information. We may disclose information when the law requires it, to enforce our terms, or to protect people's safety or rights. If the business is sold or merged, information may pass to the new owner under this policy.

8. How long we keep it

Your date of birth and gender are kept while your account is open and deleted when it is closed. Counts of blocked plays are kept by day and reason only, with no record of who.

Merch orders, including the shipping name and address, are kept with the order records for as long as the law and our accounting need.

Agreements between members, with their documents and records, are kept unchanged for as long as they can matter to the people on them and the law needs, even after an account is closed, because the others on them rely on them.

Beat license agreements, including the legal names in them, are kept unchanged for as long as the license can matter to either side and the law and our accounting need, even after an account is closed.

Alerts: alerts you have read are removed after 90 days if they are updates (such as posts, polls, reactions, milestones and Circle status) and after a year for everything else. Alerts you haven't read are kept until you read them or close your account.

We keep account information while your account is open. Records of payments, Stars, payouts, refunds and what was agreed to are kept for as long as the law and our accounting need, even after an account is closed. CYRUS conversations are kept with the account so you can return to them.

9. Your choices

Depending on where you live, the law may give you further rights, such as objecting to certain uses or complaining to a regulator. We will honour the rights that apply to you.

10. Children

The site is not for children under 13. We ask for a date of birth at sign-up and do not create an account for anyone who gives an age under 13. If someone later enters a date of birth showing they are under 13, the account is closed. If you believe a child under 13 has an account, tell us and we will remove it.

People aged 13 to 17 can use the site, but they are never included in the fan totals artists see.

11. Changes and contact

We may update this policy. We will post the new version here with its date, and each version is kept. If a change is significant we will tell you on the site.
